Richmond Hill High School will play host to Statesboro in the Wildcats’ homecoming game at 7:30 p.m. Friday night. The Wildcats head into the contest 4-1 overall after downing Bradwell Institute 42-7 on Friday night in Hinesville in the Wildcats’ Region 2-AAAAAA football opener. Coach Matt LeZotte said it was a good way to enter region play.
“This was a very big win for us. We did a lot. We did a great job of preparing. We’re seeing the fruits of our labor. We expected to win tonight and our offense, defense, special teams, coaching all came together for a solid win over a tough opponent.”
Ashaud Roberson ran for 206 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries while Nuna Hunter added 25 yards and two touchdowns on five carries.
Tyler Coleman completed 12 of 16 passes for 108 yards and a score. Christian Boggs caught six passes for 54 yards and Isaiah Allen had four receptions for 32 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, Kalieb Jackson finished with eight tackles, four of which were tackles for losses, and a sack. Tyronne Bush had seven tackles and forced a fumble. Kicker Britton Williams was six of six on extra point tries.
