The Georgia Athletic Coaches Association (GACA) will be bringing their showcase football camp to Richmond Hill on April 13.
The camp is aimed towards prospective high school football players that aspire to play football at the collegiate level. With connections to football programs all over the country, the camp is an opportunity for athletes looking to grow their game, get on the radar of college coaches, and experience what a college-level showcase camp is like.
During the camp, student-athletes will be able to get verified measurables in the form of a laser-timed forty yard dash, MPH tracking, vertical jump, as well as their height and weight verified, and their arm length and hand sizes verified to be able to send off to college level coaches.
Athletes will also be able to work in their individual drills where they will be able to sharpen their skills from expert level coaches. At the end, there will be a one-on-one competition where athletes get a chance to compete and showcase their skills against other athletes. Those athletes that stand out will have a chance to be invited to the end of the year GACA All-Star game that will be held in December.
The showcase will be available to all athletes, from rising freshmen to seniors (high school classes of 2026-2029). All skill positions and linemen positions will be able to attend the camp. There is no registration for those that are kickers, punters or long snappers at this time.
The camp will take place at the Devaul-Henderson Recreation Park on April 13, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Athletes will use the new turf fields at the facility.
The cost of the event will be $60 and it is to be registered and paid in advance. There are no walk up registrations available at this time.
