Jarrett Fincher, a rising 7th-grader at Richmond Hill Middle School, was named the most valuable player in the Perfect Game Tournament in East Cobb, Georgia.

Jarrett, the son of Phil and Tiffanie Fincher, was invited to the 12u All Star event from his success with the Richmond Hill Tide Blue 12u travel team. 

His catching performance and batting average of .778 through six games (including six doubles) gained him the MVP award and team purple the gold championship.

Fincher will play in New York next week with a travel team from Orlando.
