The girls soccer team at Richmond Hill High School sent a message to subregion leader Glynn Academy on Friday in Brunswick:
Don't count the Lady Wildcats out just yet.
Richmond Hill knocked off the Red Terrors 3-1 behind a pair of goals from Sarah Goolsby, a score from Julia Marcotte and four saves from Caroline Smith. Raechel Blitchington chipped in assists for Richmond Hill, which improved to 8-3 overall and 6-3 in Region 2A-AAAA.
"This was the breakout game we've been waiting for," RHHS coach Steve Kollman said. "The girls played their best all season as a team oriented attack unit. Each line played fast and physical, plus changed the point of attack better than we have all year."
