Bryan County High School (21-12) advanced to the second round of the state Class AA tournament with a 9-8 win over Crawford County on Thursday in Roberta.
The win gave the Lady Redskins a 2-1 series win over CCHS and sends them on the road to play Berrien (23-9) from Region 1-AA on Wednesday in Nashville. A bracket is included below that shows the path BCHS has to advance to the state finals.
Meanwhile, Richmond Hill High School’s season ended at home Thursday with a 1-0 loss to Lee County in the state Class AAAAA tourney. The Lady Wildcats lost the best-of-three series 2-1. Richmond Hill finished the season 20-10.
In volleyball, Richmond Hill High School’s Lady Wildcats fell 2-3 to North Springs in the opening round of the Class AAAAA tournament at RHHS. The Lady Wildcats, the No. 2 seed from 3-AAAAA, finished the season 21-19.
