The Bryan County Lady 'Skins softball team (30-10) ended it's quest for a State Title late Friday afternoon in Columbus with a 8-3 loss to Prince Avenue Christian (26-4,12-0). The Elite Eight pairings found Bryan County playing No.1 ranked Gordon Lee on Thursday in the double-elimination finals and Gordon-Lee (34-0, 12-0) jumped on the Redskins early and held on for a 6-0 win. The Redskins bounced back Friday morning and defeated Johnson County (32-4, 12-0) with a 9-2 win highlighted by a homerun by Tiffany Howard. Bryan County carried that winning momentum into their next slated game and took down Strong Rock Christian (20-11, 4-1) with a 9-5 score. Still hanging on in the loser's bracket, Bryan County took on Prince Avenue Christian in a afternoon game, but Prince Avenue came out on top with a 8-3 win to send the Redskins back home to Pembroke.
