Tad Christman.

Tad Christman is a rising senior athlete on the Richmond Hill High School football and lacrosse teams. He plays on the defensive line for the Wildcats in football and as a defender in lacrosse.

For football, Tad Christman is one of the many rising seniors returning for the ‘Cats and he hopes his senior year is a big one.

“I want to get back to regional play and pay back some of the schools that we lost to last year that we should have won,” Christman said. “For me personally, it's important to showcase my skills and perform well on and off the field to improve my recruitment.

“I want to own the line scrimmage, cause havoc in the backfield and create situations for my team to be successful. I really want to impose my will, continue to improve and be a good leader and teammate for the guys, most especially the seniors that I've known and played with for many years.”

In order to accomplish those things, it is important to have great leadership, and Christman is not one to shy away from that.

“I'm not afraid to admit when I make a mistake,” Christman said. “But I also hold the guys accountable and push everyone to be their best. I like to have fun, but when it's time to prepare for the game I'm all business.”

Having a big summer is vital to any program, especially for a senior that is looking to play at the college level.

“I've been to several college camps over this summer and last year,” Christman said. “It was a mixture of FCS and D2 programs in the region. I toured the campuses and towns when I camped.

“I feel that I performed very well with a 4.7 40-yard dash at two camps, Camp Defensive MVP at two showcases and dominated in my 1v1s. So far I don't have any offers, but I'm focused on what I can control and know that God has a plan.”

Christman also has plans of his own, which are to play at the college level, but he is undecided on what major he wants to pursue.

“Right now, I'm undecided,” Christman said. “I will say that I like Agriculture Engineering, Business or History. Just have to figure out which one,”

While he may not yet know what he wants his major to be in college, Cheistman has a geographical idea of where he wants to go to college.

“I would love to play at the D1 FBS or FCS level, maybe at Georgia Southern, Kennesaw State, or UWG,” Christman said. “Honestly, I prefer schools in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions.”

With his talents and a 3.5 GPA, it won’t be very hard for Christman to play at the next level if given the right opportunity.
