In Genesis chapter 1, it tells of the creation of the heavens and the earth and the earth’s inhabitants. After the mention of each thing God created, we are told that God looked at it and said it was good, showing that He was pleased with it. I believe that one of the reasons He was so pleased is because of the fact that it was beautiful to the eye.
Have you ever looked up at a clear sky at night? Have you ever seen pictures of those things that are not visible to the naked eye like the other planets, the moon and the sun?
Have you taken the time to appreciate the beauty of nature around you?
Recently I have been thinking about how fortunate I am to be able to see this wonderful creation. Each day I thank God for my eyesight and for this ability to see, realizing that there are so many who aren’t able to physically see this beauty around them.
There is good news for any who can’t physically see this beauty of which God created, because the scriptures teach us that in heaven we will possess new bodies.
There is one catch, this promise is for those who choose to get into a right relationship with God made possible through the sacrificial death of Jesus for our sins.
Some more good news: everyone of us have been invited into that relationship with God.
