Editor, Regarding the recent letter to the editor about Ozzy Skate Park, the comment on the culture of kids and the guidance of parents could be in question, I agree. The true issue, though — to prevent graffiti and theft of property that has cost some of us a lot of money — is to have a park that can be patrolled by the police.
This could save a park and the investments made to hopefully keep skaters skating in a park instead of on the street. Look at parks like those in Pembroke, Hilton Head, Port Royal, etc. They are all in open locations where police and others can drive by. They don’t have the problems we have had in Richmond Hill.
