Letter to the editor: Thoughts on the election
LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Dear Editor:

I’m having a hard time keeping recent election news in perspective. Here’s what I understand is happening...

• One of the presidential candidates has named Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, and other officials as “The enemy from within” and is promising to prosecute them and use the national guard and the US Army against them.

• The same candidate, at a rally in Latrobe, PA (not in a locker room), asked us to picture a shower room in which a naked Arnold Palmer impresses fellow professional golfers with the size of his manhood.

• This same candidate has a good chance of winning the upcoming election and being given control of the nuclear forces of the United States.

• The current speaker of the house maintains that the candidate isn’t serious about the threats and it’s not odd that Arnold Palmer’s endowment is a topic of a campaign speech.

Voting has already begun in Georgia and as a poll watcher I can attest that the election is being run in a professional and fair manner by dedicated state employees. Each vote is important and a clear choice is at hand.
