Hurrah! January is here – a time to put aside the old and look forward to the new. The “new” for Richmond Hill Library will include expanded space and new and improved activities. Details can be seen in the architectural drawings at the temporary library site on Bass Drive.
Meanwhile the library can be a wonderful escape from cold or rainy weather and too much TV. Little Owl by Divya Srinivasan is the perfect book for a bedtime snuggle with your toddler. While your little one is preparing for sleep, Little Owl is waking up to watch the activities of his nighttime friends, frog and cricket and hedgehog.
What about those antsy ones who are just learning to read – or are already accomplished readers. The sports enthusiast will enjoy reading David Adler’s Run, Mo, Run. Mo is a young fellow giving his best to complete a relay race.
And then there’s those who sigh, “But I don’t like to read.” The graphic novel, the modern “comic” book, is just the ticket to help a reluctant reader become enthusiastic about reading.
Reading is reading no matter the format.
Everything from Mystery - Ace of Spades by Sandra Owen - to fantasy. the paranormal and just about anything else can be found in the selections for Young Adult Readers.
Our young readers are sure to find delicious diversions at Richmond Hill Library.
