United Way to host 16th annual Turkey Trot
The races will be hosted at Daffin Park on Thursday, November 28.

Presented by SouthCoast Health, the United Way of the Coastal Empire will host the 16th Annual Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 28th. The Turkey Trot includes a Kids 5K, Diaper Dash, and a 4-mile Run/Walk. 

Participants can come as they are or in Thanksgiving-themed costumes. The 4-mile Run/Walk race route starts at Daffin Park, loops through the Ardsley Park neighborhood, and ends up back at Daffin Park, where the awards ceremony will take place. 

Races 

8:00 a.m. – Kids K (0.62 mile, ages 10 & under) 

8:15 a.m. – Diaper Dash (35 yards/ 0.02 mile, ages 3 & under) 

8:30 a.m. – 4-mile Run/Walk 


Registration 

Online pre-registration is open on United Way of the Coastal Empire’s website at uwce.org/turkey-trot and will CLOSE on Wednesday, November 27 at 6:00 p.m. EST. If the race does not sell out, on-site registration will also be available the morning of the race from 7:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. at Daffin Park.


Awards

• Top 3 overall male and female 

• Top 3 male and female in each age group 

• Additional awards: largest family, runner from farthest away, most senior, most junior, & best costume 


Awards will be presented immediately following tabulations at Daffin Park. Proceeds from the event benefit the United Way Community Fund, which supports various aid services throughout Bryan, Chatham, Effingham, Liberty, and Long counties.
