Tropical Storm Debby: Flash floods, high wind continue to pound area

Tropical storm and flash flood warnings continue for Bryan County and its neighboring communities.

Residents are asked to stay indoors throughout Tuesday as Tropical Storm Debby pounds the area with possible double-digit inches of rain and wind gusts nearing 60 mph.

Emergency weather sirens and phone alerts were sounded throughout the area Monday when possible tornadoes were sighted on radar.

Power outages are also being reported throughout the region.

Schools, government offices and most businesses will remain closed on Tuesday.

The city of Pembroke has implemented a mandatory curfew.
