Richmond Hill High School drama department presents 'Radium Girls'

The Richmond Hill High School drama department is putting on a production of 'Radium Girls' by D.W. Gregory this weekend.

Performances will be held on Dec. 9 at  6 p.m., Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., and Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. at Richmond Hill High School, theatre room (401) on the east campus. Please enter from the senior parking lot entrance to the 400 hall.

This show is being put on by students who achieved the honor of taking theatre classes II, III, and IV. The students have worked in their class all semester to put together a great show.

Tickets are $5 on GoFan. Buying tickets for the show is similar to buying tickets for the football games, just go onto the GoFan app, sign in, search for Richmond Hill High School, and scroll until you see 'Radium Girls'.

Plot summary:

"In 1926, radium was a miracle cure, Madame Curie an international celebrity, and luminous watches the latest rage—until the girls who painted them began to fall ill with a mysterious disease. Inspired by a true story, Radium Girls traces the efforts of Grace Fryer, a dial painter, as she fights for her day in court."
