Public gets chance tonight to ask questions of Pembroke leaders

Pembroke is trying to plan for any growth coming its way.

The second of two "open conversation" meetings will be held at City Hall on Monday, August 19 at 6 p.m. giving Pembroke residents a chance to ask local leaders questions about "city operations, upcoming projects, and more," according to the City of Pembroke’s Facebook page.

This follows a similarly themed "Coffee and Conversations" meet-up held this morning at City Hall.

Fernanda Camacho Hauser, Pembroke’s Director of Downtown and Economic Development, explained that with the rise of miscommunication, the Mayor and others in city government saw "a real need" for open conversations and transparency.

The evening session will be attended by Mayor Tiffany Ziegler and City Administrator Chris Benson.
