Approximately 100 people attended the Pembroke American Legion Post 164 Memorial Day observance Monday morning.
Presently, 188 crosses and flags are erected for local deceased veterans. Five were killed in action, according to the post. Their crosses have a gold star.
Seven new crosses were presented.
The families were escorted by members of the BCHS JROTC, and 4-H youth.
Guest speaker was Nani Miller, Commander of Pembroke American Legion Post 164.
