HENDRIX PARK

Hendrix Park is located in Black Creek and boasts eight baseball and softball fields, an indoor basketball gym, a playground, various multipurpose walking trails, and soccer/football fields.

Although Hendrix Park was badly affected by a tornado in April 2022, Matt Kent, the Bryan County Communications Manager, says that the rebuild has been smooth, and that all outdoor playable surfaces and fields are “100% done” as of January.

“The biggest thing right now [to rebuild] is the gym,” Kent said. Kent hopes that contractor bids to rebuild the gym will be approved “sometime this year”.

HENDERSON PARK

The DuVual Henderson Park is located south of Hwy 144 in Richmond Hill.

The park has a basketball gym, a baseball and softball complex, multipurpose walking trails, and artificial turf fields. The Henderson Park gym is also used by the Richmond Hill Senior Center for seniors who wish to walk indoors to avoid the harsh winter weather.

“Monday through Friday, for walking in the morning [for seniors],” said Sally Shuman, Director of Services with the Bryan County Senior Citizen Services.
