Inaugural MLK prayer breakfast this Saturday
2025 MLK prayer breakfast

The Bryan County NAACP, in conjunction with the Richmond Hill MLK Observance Committee, will host its first annual prayer breakfast this Saturday, January 18th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The prayer breakfast will be hosted at Restoration Worship Center in Richmond Hill, and starts at 10 a.m. until noon. Local faith leaders such as Pastor Scott Baker (First Baptist Church) and Johnnie Quiller (Restoration Worship Center) will be in attendance.

The theme, “We Shine Bright, Advocating for Unity Rights”, is said to have been inspired by the Atlanta NAACP and the King Center, according to Luella Sanders, president of the Bryan County NAACP.

“When we’re advocating for other people, we shine bright,” said Sanders.

“We want everyone to be represented.”

The guest speaker will be Georgia State Representative Al Williams (D-District 168). To learn more, visit https://www.bryancountynaacp.org/
