Hydrant flushing to start soon
pembroke logo
Pembroke is trying to plan for any growth coming its way.

The City of Pembroke will be conducting hydrant flushing starting March 11th through March 22nd during city operation hours. This is done to ensure that there is proper water flow from the hydrants and to conduct routine maintenance to the water lines.

Residents might notice temporary changes to water pressure or possible water discoloration. The water discoloration is caused by the sudden rush of water which loosens and carries existing mineral deposits in the water lines. This causes an unappetizing color that could stain laundry but is otherwise safe.

Should water discoloration occur, it is recommended that residents flush their water lines with cold water, waiting until the water runs clear at each location before moving on to the next.

If the issue persists or if you have any further questions, please contact: (912)-653-4413 or email info@pembrokega.net.
