More than 100 homeschooled students from Effingham, Bryan, Chatham, and Long counties took a field trip to Joyful Acres Farm in Springfield on Oct. 3.

More than 100 homeschooled students from Effingham, Bryan, Chatham, and Long counties took a field trip to Joyful Acres Farm in Springfield on Oct. 3. 

In the above photo, Erin Phillips holds a Netherland dwarf bunny for the children to pet. The bunnies are pets on the farm, and their droppings are used to fertilize the garden.

In the bottom photo, Ransom Reynolds, 8, and his brother Rhett, 6, from Richmond Hill, sample goat cheese on a cracker at the end of the field trip.
