The GBI is still not releasing any information regarding its probe into the death of Pembroke resident James Young, 66, who was reportedly killed over a week ago in his home at 166 Rogers Road.

Pembroke Police discovered Young’s body Nov. 10 after they were asked to do a welfare check at his address.

GBI Assistant Special Agent in charge Chuck Sullenger said Young has some family in the area, but declined to say who.

"We have been in contact with his family, but can not release their names or contact information," Sullenger said Tuesday. "We are making progress in the investigation, but no information can be released yet. We can’t even say whether or not we are close to an arrest because we don’t want to tip anyone off in that arena."

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Sullenger at (912) 871-1121 or the Pembroke Police Department at 653-4414
