Although it may be hard to find something good about the weather in our neck of the woods recently, the warm temperatures have extended the growing season of many flowering plants that have already gone to bed in other parts of our country.
This is very evident in the Richmond Place yard of Andrea Saunders, the recipient of the Richmond Hill Garden Club’s October/ November Yard of the Month.
Her beautiful front door border of vincas and impatiens are still a treat for the eyes. Zinnias, grown from seed complete the border. A topiary made of cypress frames the front porch.
And in the middle of the front yard, a large orange tree is loaded with oranges!
Congratulations to Andrea (and her daughter) for the part you both play in making your neighborhood a better place!
