In a press release, Buck Holly announced that he is running for Bryan County’s Board of Commissioners District 3 seat. The position is currently held by Dallas Daniel.
Holly is described as a "successful entrepreneur, and esteemed veteran" whose "business acumen, dedication to the well-being of the community, and stellar record of service, make (him) a unique leader who will serve the citizens of Bryan County with integrity."
He is married and a father of three and as a local business owner, has "proven himself a committed member of the community."
According to the press release, his company, located in Richmond Hill, was recognized by Inc Magazine as the fastest-growing manufacturing company in the Southeast Region in 2023. "In just seven years, Buck has transformed a small family-owned business into a formidable player in the market. Buck and his team are currently in the process of building a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Richmond Hill. His commitment to economic growth and job creation continues to make a significant impact in coastal Georgia."
Holly's service to the nation as a veteran US Marine is a "testament to his dedication to duty and discipline." Beyond his military service, Buck is a volunteer with the Chamber of Commerce, serving on its Executive Board. In addition, he has established himself as a champion for local businesses within the Development Authority.
If given the opportunity, Buck said he will work towards solving Bryan County’s housing shortage and improving workforce training opportunities. "Through strategic initiatives for worker preparedness and policies that promote sensible housing solutions, Buck’s vision of a more inclusive and thriving community will become a reality for Bryan County District 3."
