Mar 28: Failure to maintain lane, no driver’s license

• Driver issued citations for the above offenses.

Mar 28: Lost/mislaid property

• During a traffic stop, the driver informs the officer that he is still waiting on his license plate/tag that he paid for.

Mar 28: driving with suspended license, no insurance

 • Deputy observed an orange motorcycle making a left turn onto Highway 280 from Wilma Edwards Rd. The motorcycle cut off a white passenger car, forcing it off the roadway. Driver found to not have insurance or valid registration; the driver also had a suspended license.

Mar 28: obscuring license plate, driving with suspended license, expired registration

 • Deputy observed a black Honda with a plate cover obstructing the display of the vehicle’s decal and state. During the traffic stop, the driver is revealed to not have valid registration or license.

Mar 28: DUI, alcohol

• Deputy observed a vehicle failing to maintain its lane headed West towards Pembroke. The vehicle crossed over the fog line multiple times (3 or more). Driver found to be under the influence (alcohol).

Mar 28: Lost/mislaid property

• Woman reports that she sold a car to a couple, but her daughter didn’t recover the license plate at the time of the sale, and the new owners refuse to give it back to her.

Mar 29: no drivers’ license, failure to stop at stop sign 

• Deputy observed a 2001 silver Toyota Camry run the stop sign at Highway 280 and Black Creek. Driver did not have a license.

Mar 29: no drivers’ license, affixing license plate with intent to conceal, no proof of insurance

 • Deputy observed a 2006 grey Saturn Ion with a tag cover over the tag. Driver did not have a license and could not provide proof of registration or insurance.

Mar 30: Verbal dispute

• Deputy responds to verbal conflict between ex-couple; man accuses the woman of kicking around an empty soda can, causing a disturbance outside his home. The woman responds, saying that her ex went to her residence and tapped on the window repeatedly. She later decided to walk to his residence. She acknowledged that she may have kicked the empty soda can but insisted that it was not intended to create a disturbance.

Mar 30: Aid to other agency

• Deputies respond to reports of a woman who had fallen over the edge of the bridge and into the Ogeechee River. The victim’s friends who stated that they were coming back from Savannah when the victim said she needed to use the restroom. They pulled over on the bridge and as she sat on the side of the bridge facing the vehicle, she fell backwards into the Ogeechee River. The victim was found and was transported by EMS 2 to Memorial Health Hospital in Savannah, Georgia for further treatment.

Mar 30: entering automobile

• The complainant stated that someone unlawfully entered his vehicle and stole his credit and debit cards. He advised that a total of six cards, three credit cards and three debit cards were missing from his wallet. Mar 30: theft by taking - motor vehicle

• Woman reports a suspicious vehicle located in the woods; she noticed a black SUV with a broken back window that had not been there the previous night. It was later determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Savannah, GA, on March 30.

Mar 30: domestic dispute

• Woman reports that her roommate began playing music loudly on her speaker. while she was trying to watch TV. She stated she retrieved her speaker, at which time the roommate took her laptop. Woman states that this harassment has been going on for a while.

Mar 31: No insurance

• Vehicle stopped during traffic stop had no insurance; driver also was not wearing a seatbelt.

Mar 31: Lost/mislaid property

• Man reports that the registration he renewed hasn’t been received in the mail yet.

• Woman reports that the registration she renewed hasn’t been received in the mail yet.

• Man stated that his phone was lost at the HMGMA building at the Hyundai megasite around 3 p.m., while he was loading cargo onto a trailer for transport. The tracking app “Find my iPhone” indicated that the phone was located in Register, Georgia, at another construction site.

Mar 31: Lost/mislaid property

• Man reports that he lost his drivers’ license; stated that he gave it to one of the security guards at the MegaSite so he could gain access to the site to finish a job he was on. Upon leaving the MegaSite the security of the site advised that they had lost his license.

April 1: Interference with custody

• Deputy responds to a report about a child being taken from its legal guardian.

April 1: Discharge of firearms on property of another

• Deputies respond to a residence in reference to a shots-fired call. A woman stated that while attempting to take a nap in her home, she was abruptly awoken by the sound of gunfire. When she went outside to investigate, she estimated that the gunfire was coming from the adjacent property, a wooded area. She shouted for the gunfire to cease but received no reply. The complainant further stated that the gunfire stopped for a few minutes before resuming. This time, she noticed that the gunfire was much closer to her home, estimating that it was coming from a wooded area approximately fifteen yards from her residence. At this point, she called Bryan County Dispatch to report the incident.
