American Legion Post 164 members Greg Aksdal, Commander Marvin Miller, Drew Barnes and Joe Veitch and the Pembroke Flag Committee honorably retired more than 200 unserviceable U.S. flags during a flag retirement ceremony Monday morning. 

Post 164 maintains a box at the Pembroke Police Station where residents can leave flags in need of retirement.
