Boy Scout Pack and Troop 141 of Pembroke stand before a war plane on June 5 at Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum in Charleston Harbor, S.C. That weekend they traveled back in time to live as the sailors of World War II lived aboard the USS Yorktown. They camped overnight aboard the vessel, and were allowed to experience firsthand what life aboard a naval war ship was like. This was truly an experience the Scouts will never forget. Pack and Troop 141 meetings, typically held Thursday nights at the American Legion Post 164 in Pembroke, have been suspended for the summer but will resume the first Thursday in August.
