Group raises $3,000 for library

Sandy Gray, president of the Friends of the Richmond Library, recently presented Richmond Hill Public Library manager Kate Barker with checks totaling $3,070. The funds will be used to support programs at the library, including spring break programs April 18-20, as well as performers and prizes for the summer reading program, which begins May 31.

The Friends meets at 11 a.m. on the second Monday of the month at the library, 9607 Ford Avenue. The group welcomes new members.
