The following Richmond Hill residents and cadets at Armstrong Atlantic State University were honored during Armstrong’s 2012 Army Reserve Officer Triaining Corps (ROTC) Award Recognition ceremony in Savannah on May 1:

• Sean Dye received the Color Guard ribbon and Cadet Honors Award.

• Brandon Hillis received the Association of the U.S. Army Military History Award.

• Scott McVicker received the Cadet Scholar Award and Color Guard ribbon.

Each year, Armstrong celebrates the most elite cadets who have achieved distinguished military and academic success.

More than 20 cadets were recognized at this year’s ceremony for displaying Army ROTC values of courage, gallantry, knowledge and self-sacrifice.
