ATLANTA - Georgia college students likely will find out Tuesday how much more they'll have to shell out for tuition this fall.

The Georgia Board of Regents is scheduled to vote on tuition hikes for the state's 35 public colleges and universities. The vote comes after lawmakers cut hundreds of millions from higher education coffers to help balance the books amid one of the worst state fiscal crises in recent history.

The meeting in Atlanta will include reports on the impact of the budget cuts and how much students will have to pay to help make up for the reductions in state funding.
