BCHS Principal Harold Roach said the first day of the new school year went off without a hitch, other than the intercom system being down. "If that’s the worst thing, then we’re fine," he said. In place of an intercom, Roach walked the halls with a bullhorn, much to the delight of the students, he said.
Richmond Hill Primary's first graders were ready, too.
Some 6,000 students headed to classrooms across the county on Friday, kicking off the 2007-2008 school year.
