A Richmond Hill man was found unresponsive in the family pool Wednesday afternoon. 

According to Richmond Hill Police Department Captain Brad Sykes,  the man was found by a family member shortly after 3 p.m. in a pool located on the 300 block of Bristol Way.

Sykes said responding officers attempted to perform CPR on the 25 year old man, who has not been identified. 

He was transported to a local hospital by attending emergency medical personnel where he was later pronounced dead.

The  incident is under investigation, Sykes said.
